inReach Mini blinks on and off

My inReach Mini started blinking on and off the other day. Its does this until the battery is drained. I have tried plugging it in to the computer and the wall and letting it fully charge and then manually turning it on and then off, but the problem persists. It appears I can still send messages, but the battery won't last more than a day as it cycles on and off repeatedly. Any advice?

You can first try a soft reset as described here: https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/inreachmini/EN-US/GUID-480F7757-17A5-43FB-8157-6D25967AC29D.html This one does not lose any data. I don't think it's likely to help in this situation, but it does not hurt to try.

If that doesn't work, you can try a factory reset. This one loses ALL the data on the device, including the inReach activation. You would have to reactivate afterwards. The last thing that occurs to me is that the power button might be sticking. You might try pushing it extra-hard a few times to see if that helps. Long shot, and you do risk getting stuck entirely if that IS the problem.
