Ext Tracking question

Sorry for the nob question. If i have my inreach mini set to : Send Interval = 30 min, Log Interval = off, Auto Track = On, and Ext Tracking = On. Shouldn't it post a point every 30 minutes to my MapShare page?

That has been the behavior that I have observed, and my understanding of how it works.

It will, but only if you are moving. Updates are made very infrequently once the device detects you are no longer moving.

So even thought I have the Send Interval set to 30 minutes it is not going to log unless I move?

The send interval switches to 4 hours when the unit detects that you are not moving. The unit will check for motion approximately at the original send interval - so you should not lose any points when you start moving again.

Note that he unit will send a point every 4 hours even when not moving.

Thanks for the info. The 4 hour timer explains why I am seeing points being sporadic. Basically, 4 hours between points unless I move.
