hello , my name is fernando, and i am going to start a 2 month offroad motorcycle adventure , i will use garmin mini with GEOS plan , so i got the rescue issues covered, BUT , i want also to track my position on my google chronology, . i think i must to pair the garmin Bluetooth with my phone , i dont know if i use earthmate it will automatically share the position with all my android installed applications. please HELP
I don't know the answer to this for Android. I've never tried it with the appropriate Google app on iOS, but suspect it would work on there. On iOS, the Mini (like every other GPS device) is connected via location services, so the data is available to all apps. I know that there is no such central connection in Android.
Do note that you can share your position in real time from your MapShare page - as long as you have the Mini set up to send track points via the Iridium network. This has the advantage that it works even when you have no cell reception.
