Preset Message format has changed

When I used to send a Preset Message to my girlfriend eg. Follow my Track here.
The message used to contain a clickable link so she could go straight to my mapshare page and location.
Now the message does not contain a valid link only the message and coordinates.
To mitigate this my girlfriend has my mapshare page saved as a favourite on her phone. So when she gets a Follow my Track here message. She simply goes and looks manually on my mapshare page.
It would be better the way it was, so messages are sent with a clickable link.
Does anyone know how this can be done please.

There is a setting on your account at inreach.garmin.com which probably affects this. It is cleverly hidden in the lower right corner of the Account tab, My Info sub-tab. You need to check the box for "Include a link to an online map with my location".

That said, it's not a link to your MapShare map. It's a special-purpose map which shows just this one message and your location at the time. I don't think it was EVER a link to your MapShare map.

So - are you sure you're not thinking about the message that's generated if you choose the Send MapShare option while tracking? The message generated that way actually does have a link to your MapShare page. That option is available from the menu you see when you press OK while on the tracking widget with tracking in progress. You can get there easily by pressing OK again just after you start tracking.

Yes I have all the three checkboxes ticked in the lower right corner of account tab.
Yes I think you are correct it was a special purpose map for the recipient of the message link. I don't recall changing my settings and the link was perfect for my girlfriend to instantly find me and see my track.

On the 3 preset messages I have the mapshare box checked too.

I will investigate the Send Mapshare option while tracking.
and will report back.

If you have the options checked and the SMS messages still do not contain the link, contact support. I tested this several times yesterday and today. My messages always include the link to the special-purpose page. Note, however, that my options do not include sending the coordinates as text. That is, the first option is not checked; the last two options are checked. It does not make any sense, but I suppose it's possible that the "coordinates as text" option overrides the inclusion of the link? You might try that configuration to see if it changes the link behavior.

All of these options are controlled by the web site, not the iR device itself. The web site is under continuous revision, so there's no telling what might have changed from one day to the next.

Checking the MapShare box on the message itself means that the message will also show on the MapShare page. Only messages with MapShare as one of the recipients show up there. This has nothing to do with the content of the message itself.

Thank you for your help I will give that a try.
The annoying thing is we had everything set up and working perfectly and now Garmin has changed something and left us to sort it out.
