Cannot Activate inReach Mini

I purchased a used inReach Mini online. When I tried to activate it, I got this error: This device has been suspended.

The seller will not respond to my emails. I cannot return it either. What can I do to get it to a state that enables me to activate it?
  • You can try calling support. But I don't know if they will help. Their attitude MAY be that you don't own it because the prior owner failed to release it. But it's really your only option if the seller will not help.

    I THINK the problem here is that the device still has an active plan. I'm assuming that you got as far as the activation screens on the device, which would mean that the prior owner did do a factory reset.

    When you call, be sure to have the device at hand, and know your IMEI.
