inReach Messages screen on 935

Hi,

Reposting on this forum as I received no responses on the 935 forum.

My Garmin 935 connects to my In Reach Mini and when tracking shows the tracking screen OK. When not tracking the screen on the 935 just shows the Messages screen as "Loading" and never synchronises with the Mini. Both the Mini and the 935 are running the current firmware versions.

I had this problem day before yesterday on my 5XP. What I ended up doing was this:

- restarted my 5XP - did not resolve
- restarted my Mini - problem corrected

I have a thread on comm errors when sending messages from the 5XP. While testing, I got hung on this screen, and it wold not clear. I even deleted and recreated the device on the watch. After a simple shutdown and restart of the Mini, it went away.

Sadly a restart of both devices didn't fix the issue. I even deleted and reconnected the mini on the watch. The same screen shows the battery level of the mini and I can start and stop tracking on another screen.

Communication is probably not the issue then I guess, just the message sync between the devices.

Try using your phone to connect to the InReach with EarthMate, and then try the process again. I've run into a couple of issues with messages that I fixed by using my iPhone and Earthmate.
