Mapshare KML feeds

Hi,

I don't get it, why the KML Feed URL from Garmin doesn't really does what it's suposed to do:

You just get the file as a download, but you want the content of the KML in the response body, so you can feed it to a external Webapp!

https://inreach.garmin.com/Feed/Share/XXX?d1=2023-07-16T10:00z&d2=2023-07-20T12:00z

That's what i got.

How do I get the .kml file in the response, like you find it usually on other applications, example:

http://code.google.com/apis/kml/documentation/KML_Samples.kml

Thats how the URL should look like?

Someplace, there is a legacy document which explains this. You will probably have to open a support ticket to find it.

https://developer.garmin.com/inreach-portal/overview/. The API will send a raw data feed to wherever you want and then your 3rd party app can work it from there.

In order to use this option though you would need to have a professional account and not a personal inReach account. Switching My inReach Subscription From a Personal Account to Professional Account.
