Garmin Delorme inreach 1.5 no longer recognized by windows 10

Windows 10 no longer recognizes my inreach 1.5. I did the factory reset which I suspect was a bad idea because now instead of being a little out of date I am years out of date.

I did all the dumb script stuff. Tried a different cable, different port, etc.

I installed Garmin Express but it does not find the device.

I don't know if this applies to device this old or not. If you have a choice on the device, set the interface to Mass Storage, USB, or MTP. Avoid things like Spanner, Serial or Text.

Note that you must actually access the device with Express to fix the problem. Just installing Express will not do it.

Otherwise, you're going to have to open a support ticket.
