I made an appointment for a test of the SOS button and everything has gone very well. It is requested at www.iercc.com/.../. They make an appointment for a specific day/time and you press the SOS button. After the countdown and your acknowledgment of receipt of the SOS, you can start a conversation to give more information (essentially to say ok and thank you) and they call you later at your registered phone.
Although there is a video showing this operation (sorry I dont remember where), I thought it would be interesting to try it "real" with more people in front of it so that they can see how interesting the system for mountain emergencies seems to me.
I was also able to verify that the conversation can be continued with the mobile phone connected by bluetooth to the inReach Mini 2 through the Explore app (in fact, the SOS can be started as well). Very happy.
Note for spanish people: the Civil Guard rescue group (GREIM) has confirmed to me that it supports SMS messages through its mobile +34650384164 (public telephone for use ONLY in emergencies). A fantastic service given by this team of public professionals that saves many lives. I say this because in a real emergency I would use the SOS button but I would also communicate data directly to that phone. Good to have it on the agenda ;)
