I am planning to link an inReach Mini with the Overlander Device on a 43 day, 5,000km, 4x4 trip through Tanzania and Zambia starting next month. I plan to sign up to an Expedition Freedom Plan for the duration of my trip. I will not have to worry about battery life because the Mini will be in my vehicle and powered by the vehicle most of the time. Ideally I would like to track my whole trip as a single route. On the assumption that I will be mobile for 8 hours a day, if I track every minute I am mobile, I will have about 500 track points per day and 22,500 for the whole trip. There is clearly a limit to how many track points can be contained in a Mini although Garmin Chat cannot tell me what it is nor can I find it on the website. I will be carrying my laptop with me in the vehicle. if I sync every few days from my Mini to my laptop can I keep running the same route or can one only sync at the end of a route.
