InReach Mini with Edge 830 text entry

I'm considering purchase the Edge 830 to use with my inReach Mini. I want to know if the touchscreen supports text entry for InReach messages, and if yes what the data entry options are. Is there a touchscreen keyboard, or is it up/down through the letters? Is there something from the last decade like Swype? Would appreciate it if anyone who has used this could screenshot the data entry options.

The particular connector is the "InReach Remote" for Edge 830, help page is here (it doesn't tell you how text entry works):

Unfortunately dcrainmaker used the 530, which has buttons, and not the 830 which has a touchscreen. So no way to know from that whether they have a legit keyboard or not.

There is a touchscreen keypad. Refer to the attached screenshots. There is no predictive text, you must select each letter individually. You can switch from the alphabet keypad to the numeric keypad and the keypad with special characters.
