inReach web UI won't let me edit routes

I have about 40 different routes stored in the inReach.garmin.com website maps. Most of them are editable, but some of the more recent imports are not and I don't know why. On some recent imports, clicking edit just lets me edit the route name and does not give me the drag points to adjust the route itself. But some older imports, imported using the same method, give me all the drag points and are completely editable. I have tried importing from gpx files and from courses stored in connect.garmin.com. Doesn't matter which route I go, I still can't edit newly imported routes. Any ideas?

You are sure it was imported as a route, not as a track?

Absolutely certain. For good measure, I tried converting to a track, and the converting back to a route to see if I could shake the glitch out... No luck. I have an example .gpx file that demonstrates, so probably just need to file a bug...

Yes, open a support ticket with Garmin. The web site is a work in progress and sometimes goes backwards

It seems to be a problem with truncated routes. I was hacking around with the GPX file. The moment I have fewer than 519 trackpoints (trkpt tag) in the file, the route becomes editable. At 519, it imports but is not editable. For good measure, I tired different trackpoints just to make sure one of them wasn't malformed, but it's directly related to the trkpt count. Basically, this make auto truncation useless for me since I can't edit after the file is truncated, and truncating by hand is a nightmare. So frustrating.

Best open a support ticket. Used to be that importing anything with a lot of points as a route "thinned" the result route down to 200 points or less. Apparently, that is no longer happening. But there is still an upper limit to the number of points that the route editor will handle.
