Not Many Trails?

I want to hike a couple of trails in Torrreya State Park in Florida. I do not see them on the GPS or on the PC or the iPhone apps. Do the Topocentric maps not include many trails?

It appears that even well-known trails, like the Florida Trail, do not appear on the maps.

Trail coverage is hit and miss. Most of us use crowd-sourced sites like AllTrails to download tracks.

The wikiloc connect IQ app is excellent for this purpose.

Download it from Wikiloc and check it offline on a City navigator or a Topo Active map Because there are many users that draw tracks without doing it on the field. After checking it , use GPS Babel or similar or upload to Garmin explore site and transfer to your device.Good luck Martin

That is a lot of extra work that kind of defeats the purpose and convenience of the wikiloc IQ app.

The way it works already, before you transfer anything to your GPSr, you have to first find the desired trail using your smartphone and the wikiloc app, which already displays the trails over satellite imagery. If you like what you see, you select Send to Garmin, and then open the wikiloc IQ app on your Garmin GPSr to complete the map transfer to your device. Super easy, smooth and quick. Using additional software to convert or modify the trail on an offline PC before uploading it to Garmin Explore and then syncing it to your device via the Garmin Explore environment is just asking for trouble. So many unnecessary additional steps and file conversions....

I do not understand the benefit of your suggestion, especially since it is not viable for in field operations.

My suggestion was until Garmin or somebody fix the app that You are having troubles. I tryed to help You with an alternative. However if You think that is useless .... Continue waiting till fix Will be available . I Will never have this problem because I use a real outdoor GPS with Garmin maps, very complete with trails and tracks... But In a iPhone .mmmm At last but not least remember that to download something in the way that You do , You also need signal coverage so on the field does not works too. And Wikiloc connect app is not reliable , thats why I check it before transfer it to My GPS. So wait ... And good luck again

Dear Twolpert : It seems like we are helping an user that wants his only way And not any other alternative. Also never thanks even that we took time to answer ...so .... for me ....is on his own.
