Question concerning annual plan renewals

When an annual plan is auto-renewed at the end of the first full year, is there an additional full-year commitment incurred upon renewal or can a user cancel service (without further commitment) on an annual plan at any time after the first full year has elapsed?

I do not believe that you incur an additional 1-year commitment when you allow an annual plan to continue beyond the first year. It appears that you can cancel at any time without paying for the remainder…

Thanks, for some reason I missed that section. The item below makes it pretty clear that there is no further obligation after one year, and that you will continue at the discounted annual billing rate until you cancel.

What happens after the one-year contract? Does a new contract begin automatically?

Once the one-year contract has been met, your service is not shut off as these are safety devices. The plan will renew every month until you cancel. If you cancel on or after the one-year contract, there is no further obligation or cancellation fee.

Keep in mind, you're locked in to the lower rate by leaving the plan as-is. If you cancel then start a new contract, it is a new one-year commitment because you canceled the plan that met the commitment period.
