When viewing route on MapShare, the line drawn between track points are occasionally not linked in proper chronological order, making the route a mess to view. Is this a known issue? Is there a way to correct?

Yes, it's a known issue. AFAIK, there is nothing you can do about it. In some cases, the result may be better (or worse) at a different zoom level. But in most cases, if a particular track exhibits the problem, it stays that way at all zoom levels and forever. Not all tracks exhibit the problem.
Which doesn't mean we can not report it again to see if we could improve it. 2402291 if you could contact Garmin Support or send me some screenshots examples of what you are seeing, we would happy to take a look at it.
Here are some examples. The track points all seem to be good. The path on this trip was continuous progress (no backtracking). You can see that lines are drawn between track points not in chronological order. I've been using an inReach SE for a few years and not seen this problem prior to my most recent trip. Please let me know if a link to my MapShare page would be helpful.
Thanks for your help.
