Mapshare Not Working

While setting up my inReach I could access my Mapshare page no problem, not that there was anything on it, just a few waypoints. Now that my device is activated I just get a Server Error at every attempt. I'm in the UK and use the URL https://eur-share.inreach.garmin.com/GTS

Is anyone else having issues with Mapshare just now or is it an account problem? The inReach Mini is working great and the map on the eur.inreach page is fine and so is the map when you click on a link from the messages the inReach sends.

In my limited experience, the status pages tend to show fewer outages than actually exist. Especially if the outage is short.

Ignore all of the above! Mapshare suddenly sprung into life. Must have been a Server issue. The inReach status page has showed no issues with Mapshare though.

In my limited experience, the status pages tend to show fewer outages than actually exist. Especially if the outage is short.

Although you never like to see problems with safety devices and software, brief outages happen. It's always a good idea to wait a bit and try again. Depending on the nature of the problem you're seeing, it sometimes helps to clear your browser cache and cookies, or try with a different browser. The point of trying a different browser is that a browser you don't normally use is unlikely to have cookies, cached pages, etc. from Garmin sites.

Thanks, its down again! I've tried with multiple browsers on different devices. Doesn't seem like the reliable solution I was hoping for.

so I'm testing things out in advance of some adventures...

while I can see my mapshare page, my friends, to whom I sent the link, get a "This Mapshare URL does not exist" message. Is this because I am not presently tracking? Thanks!

12 Feb,19 Mapshare link not working in Australia when shared via email, same message as in previous posts. Disappointed with this product, last time i used it first time) I broke my ankle alone in the bush and it didnt work well then.

The MapShare page will work whether you are tracking or not. I've never seen this particular problem. A call to tech support is in order.
