garmin.inreach.com problems all over the place

On the Home tab, there is an error in showing what subscription I have: "Plan details are not available. Check back later." Under My Bill it says "There was an error loading your balance."

On the Inbox tab, it doesn't show any messages even though I know I have sent and received a bunch. It just says "There was an error retrieving your messages. Try reloading the page, or try again later."

I can't add a new contact in the Contacts tab. I get this error: "Failed to load the add contact form: 0 error". I have not been able to enter a new contact in like 3 WEEKS!

In my Account tab, there is an error in loading my balance (billing). There is an error in loading the email preferences.

Some of these issues are just annoying, but not being able to add contacts for WEEKS AT A TIME is insane.
  • I'm supposed to give a tutorial on using inReach devices to our local search and rescue organization, but if critical components on the website don't freaking work, what's the point?
  • One thing you might try: Close your browser. Reopen it (not to any of the Garmin sites, including the forums). Delete your cookies and cached pages/images. Close and reopen the browser. Now try again. Like everything else Garmin, inreach.garmin.com uses Garmin single-signon for authentication and authorization. If the cookies get screwed up, all kinds of weird things happen.

If that doesn't fix it, there might really be something wrong with your account. You'll probably have to call tech support.
  • Yikes! Just logged in to garmin.inreach and there was a totally new login screen, had to renter everything. Then the map would not load, went to sync, new sync program download, ran it, finally got the map to load. My plan details comes up OK. Last time I had a problem similar to you I called the help number and talked directly to a garmin rep... good luck, to get it done in time for your presentation!
  • I've tried entering new contacts from my Mac at home, PC at work, and via my iPad. Same snafu on all devices. I don't think it's a cookie issue, but I'll try that anyway.

Edit: actually, the suggestion was genius. I deleted all the "garmin" related cookies from Chrome and now the stuff loads fine. Well played, sir.
