How to toggle view of waypoints in 'Library'

The new 'Library' feature on the explore website will not let me toggle the view of waypoints separate from tracks and routes. Whats the point? The old interface was better. You could toggle viewing of points as a group or individual. You could toggle the view f specific tracks and routes. how does one do this in the new interface? It's very frustrating.
  • The intention appears to be for you to group related waypoints, routes, tracks, etc. into collections. Then control visibility and sync at the collection level. So, for example, if you go backpacking in the Rockies in September, you set up a collection for all the data related to that trip. Then you control visibility, etc. at the level of the collection.

This doesn't work if all your data is in the default Library collection. You really need to create collections, add items selectively to the collections, then turn off visibility for the library itself (or remove items from the Library). AFAIK, the only way to add something to a collection is to view it on the map. The "balloon" which describes the item on the map now has a button for managing its collection membership.

If you have multiple supported devices, you can also manage just which devices sync with which collections.
  • This new Explore web interface is one of the most frustrating UX's I've ever seen. I created my collections for waypoints and routes. Now, no routes are visible on my device regardless of how I have the sync toggles set. Oddly, the waypoints, which I don't need visible, are the only things that show up on my device or Earthmate app. It's a huge miss for Garmin to make such a major UI change without tutorials or documentation.
