Feature Suggestion: Be Able to Pause Tracking

I have an InReach Explorer which I use frequently. I would really love to have the ability to pause tracking so that I can have a single trip record for a day's travels rather than have to stop and start it. Would this be a possible feature to add?

when I stop tracking and I start tracking, do the mapshare link change for my friends? (1 tracking = 1 mapshare link or always 1 mapshare link)

Your MapShare URL is static unless you change it manually via the inreach.garmin.com web site (where you administer your account). So no, starting/stopping tracking does not change the MapShare URL. The "sharing" message that you can send when you start tracking does contain the URL and also serves to alert your friends to the fact that you are moving again.
