Show current elevation during an activity

During an activity, how can I get my watch to show the current elevation? I have searched through all the menus in the map / navaigation screens and can’t see it anywhere. Do I need to add a Data Screen with altitude on it ?

You can. Or you can replace a field you do not need on one of the existing screens. It depends what you like more. Elevation is in the Elevation Fields category. Only available in (most of) outdoor activities.
