Fenix 5X, pace dropping out frequently for seconds.

I am using a Fenix 5X and experience pace drops for seconds at a time and multiple times during a paddle exercise. This leads to the average pace to be lower than average moving pace. Any ideas how to fix it? Using GPS + Glonass and Galileo with almost identical results.

You can also adjust your GPS in your System > Data Recording menu by using 'Every Second' if using 'Smart'.

Your Fenix 5X shows first use 6+ years ago. If you still use the Fenix 5 Plus, compare between the two to confirm whether or not your Fenix 5X is beginning to fail.

Thanks. I only have a 5 Plus now - will try again with updated settings.
