My Garmin Fenix 5S isn't switching on or charging.

Went for a swim earlier. Saved the file I think. Then I thought I had accidentally switched the Fenix 5S off. Tried to switch it back on and it hasn't properly switched on since. Have plugged into the mains and it says almost zilch battery, hasn't charged either.

It could be a problem of worn or oxidized pin connectors.

When you swim do you use caps to protect the connectors?

Try using this cable which improves insertion compared to the original one:

What are caps that protects the connectors? Have spoken to a person on the Garmin Chat line and they asked for the Serial Number, have no idea if I've read the Serial Number correctly or not.

if you look at the amazon link image you will see them.
I had an old Fenix 5 that I swam in pools and seas with and the contacts rusted.
Now with the 5x, 6x I no longer have this problem, the important thing is that you take them off when you're not swimming because the contacts have to breathe!
