Garmin 5s randomly turns off. It will only power back on when plugged into a charger but then displays 100% battery virtually immediately. Any ideas?

I’ve had it for around 5 years I reckon and it has only just started having this problem

I was just told by Rocio on the Garmin Support chat that my battery was past its life and I should shop for a new watch as an "investment."

And this is the definion of Investment "Investment is traditionally defined as the "commitment of resources to achieve later benefits". If an investment involves money, then it can be defined as a "commitment of money to receive more money later"."

so where is the investment if you have to get a new one every few years? I accept you may need to replace the watch in time but to call it an investment if you buy a new one is just bad customer service..... That Rocio person needs demoting and retraining!
