pain and tingling when wearing Fenix 5s

I have had my Fenix 5s since November 2018, but I haven’t been able to wear it for the past two years without an achey numb feeling in the tops of my index and middle fingers. It also happened in 2019 but I would occasionally not wear it and it would get a bit better. But nowadays even after taking a month off of wearing the watch I start feeling that pain within an hour or two of putting it back on, whether the band is loose or snug. I’m trying to wear it as an arm band occasionally, but it really defeats the time telling nature of it when I use it that way. Has anyone else had this experience? I’m really frustrated with this and it makes me not want to buy any other Garmin watches even though the new ones have sweet features.
