Fenix 5X Firmware / GPS Update

Hi all,

I have a Garmin Fenix 5X. I am Linux user (no Garmin Connect) and so I update the watch manually using beta firmware.

Anyway, looks like I missed an update that included GPS and display firmware (currently on software version 24.10, GPS 2.50 (!), Display 3.11 (!)).

Helpful Garmin engineers (or anyone else, for that matter) can you provide a link to a package that will allow me to manually update that GPS software (or all firmware).

Looking at the file name and size, however, I think this is the v25.00 main firmware file.

I'd estimate that the GPS firmware file (named in the style gupXXXX.gcd) will be about 662kB. That was the size of the GPS_250 firmware that shipped with the v15.41Beta package (fenix5X_1541Beta/GPS_v250/GUP2957.GCD).

Hello there... Fell off any good stuff lately?? lol Yes am a fellow climber/mountaineer and a caver too !!

The GCD fil is actually take direct from garmin as seen by the link...So it will be the one downloaded and install on the watch when you do an officail update I guess...

link can be optained by using the view page source option when you visit the update page btw...
