Can't pair my fenix 5 plus to my iphone

I have recently switched my iPhone 10 to an iPhone 13 and now my Fenix 5 plus won't pair, when paring it just stand still for 1 minute and then keep on saying "pairing failed" I have tried to reset the watch and turn on/off Bluetooth on my phone and removed the watch on Bluetooth on my old phone, i don't know what to do anymore please help.

Please help me so I can start using my watch again.

You mentioned resetting your watch. Ensure you full master reset given your unique situation going iPhone to iPhone.

Ensure you do not have your watch still paired to your old iPhone 10 or an iPad etc.…

As a quick update. I contacted Garmin Support and they have replaced the watch. No more syncing issues! Thanks Garmin!

You mentioned resetting your watch. Ensure you full master reset given your unique situation going iPhone to iPhone.

Ensure you do not have your watch still paired to your old iPhone 10 or an iPad etc. Remove your watch in full off those devices Connect Mobile APP and through the Settings > Bluetooth menu.

I have the similar issue with Fenix 5 (FW: v25) and Google Pixel 4a with Android 13. After updating Pixel 4a to Android 13, the Fenix lost connection with phone. I have done "Factory reset" to my phone and "Full master reset" to Fenix, but now the I'm still stuck with Bloetooth pairing. Getting all the time "Pairing failed" message when starting to pair phone and watch from Garmin Connect app. Fenix 5 is not listed under phone's Bluetooth settings/menu. After FActory resetting the phone and watch, the should be like a new from software perspective but seems like there is some conflict with firmware v25 and Android v13.

I am sorry there is an issue. The best step to try next is to see if your Fenix 5 will sync with any other smartphone. Regardless if Android or Apple iOS. It is your #1 step to determine if the issue is solely Android 13 behavior after the major update or if your watch specifically is now having a pairing issue despite the timing of your Android update.

I am having a similar issue with apple - third fenix watch - always paired very easily and after a factory reset I can no longer get add the device to garmin connect. I have deleted the app / reset the watch / removed bluetooth devices etc etc etc. To no avail! \

Is there an issue with Garmin connect softwarfe?

Update: Miraculously got my Fenix 5 syncing with Pixel 4a (Android 13), after I paired it with my friends Samsung A53 (2022 year model) Android phone.

Steps I took:

1. Before pairing with Android A53, I did once again factory reset to watch.

2. Then paired and synced watch with Samsung phone via Garmin Connect app.

3. Removed watch from Samsung's Garmin Connect app.

4. Removed watch from Samsung's Settings -> Bluetooth menu.

5. Started pairing with Google Pixel 4a phone's Garmin Connect app.

6. Fenix 5 watch was successfully paired with Pixel 4a.

Now syncing has been working few days in a row.
