My 5X has been OK most of the time but now I have an issue with routes. I tell it to record an activity, everthing seems OK and I can see my location on the map - but it does not show my path taken?
I don't see the red line on the map of my watch, and later when looking at the activity on the Connect app there is no map.
I tried changing from 'smart' to 'every second' recording but this doesn't improve the fact it's not actually recording the activity route.
Overview:
- GPS is functional and it knows where I am, shows where I am on the watch map
- It does NOT show the familiar red line of the route during the activity
- The activity IS recorded in terms of distance, calories and so on, but no map or route is available?
- Last month and a for 2 or 3 years before it has functioned OK
- I have not changed or adjusted anything that I know of
Any ideas how to get the route recording back again? I don't use it much but I do consider it a handy 'bread trail' so I can follow my path out again if I get lost while hiking.
I tried writing to Garmin support and they just told me how to change from smart to every other second, which does not solve the issue.
