Fenix5 not picking up golf courses. Only change is a new phone?

Watch now not picking up golf courses when on the course. Prior to changing phones this was not an issue. I should not need to download the course , should I ?

You are correct that you should not need to re-download the course through your Garmin Connect APP on your new smartphone.

However, if your watch is not showing your local golf course when you go to start…

I would suggest you do... I quickly installed on my watch and had to download them via phone app.(not a golfer just trying to help)

You are correct that you should not need to re-download the course through your Garmin Connect APP on your new smartphone.

However, if your watch is not showing your local golf course when you go to start a new round of Golf on your watch, then you will need to re-download the course in your Connect Mobile APP and sync it over to your Fenix 5.

(Unless you own a Fenix 5X. It already has 42,000+ Golf courses installed to the watch. You will update the existing courses that have been changed and add new golf courses by using Garmin Express on your computer.)
