turn prompts fenix 5

Hello! When I follow a course (trailrunning) I do not get the turn prompts anymore, but only the distance to final destination in the map data screen. I used to get the prompts though. I cannot turn on the turn prompts in the alert menu. No idea what I did to create this change. Great if anyone can help. Bye, Danielle

Did you get the gpx file from an other source? It might be that the gpx files doesn’t include course points

Or did you do the route in reverse? When I do trailrunns in reverse I never get tbt notifications…

Thanks. I got the gpx file from a website for trailruns in the Netherlands. It does include course points, but too many (it was a 100km trail) so the watch gave an alert that not all points could be kept. I did not do the trailrun in reverse... But that is good to know anyhow, that it doesn't work in reverse mode.

you could import route in to Basecamp.. I am pretty sure you can optimise it to work properly(never needed to do it hence not fully sure).....

Hi,

Just to clarify.

GPX files do not contain course_points (warnings and turns).

Only Fit and TCX files support course_points but Basecamp doesn’t handle them.

When importing gpx, if using Garmin Connect, it will create its own turns that you can edit later.
