Tracking non-exercise activities (specifically piano practice)

Hi,

Testing out the Garmin ecosystem with a second hand fenix 5 before taking the plunge for a map enabled one for sailing season.

Still trying to get my head around this thing. Currently on my first week and fully enslaved to it. My first fitness tracker of any kind.

Piano and some other instruments are a huge part of my day. Never mind the extra steps I get, but is there any sense in tracking structured practice with this (or any) fenix, or garmin connect in general.

I'd like to:

 - Set it to custom piano activity

 - no gps, no steps, etc

 - timer to switch between unnamed practice segments ad infinitum

- just show elapsed total time and segmant time 

- possibly leverage the internal metronome

- upload to external calendar, not strava, then delete manually from garmin activities without messing with other metrics.

I can't find a list of things that are included in the various activities, like cardio, cycling, etc. Would one of these be a good base to copy and mod, or something else?

Code my own app?

This thing, and it's future replacement will be on my hand 24x7. It would be nice to leverage the tagging power for other than exercise too.
