Bluetooth searching in Zwift doesn’t find my fenix 5?
The fenix 5 should be using ANT+ to connect to zwift. Seems to be several posts in the zwift forum that might help - Can I connect my Garmin watch to zwift? - General Discussion - Zwift Forums
As above, it broadcasts HR over ANT+ only so you need a dongle if it's a PC and out of luck if the device doesn't support ANT+. However the same as is mentioned in that thread I found the HR from the Fenix 5 during Zwift sessions completely useless and bought a chest strap instead. I compared the two on a race where I was pushing hard and the Fenix 5 said I'd averaged 80bpm with a high of 110 while the chest strap said an average of 170bpm and a high of 195bpm, it was definitely the latter. I'm not sure why it's so far off for indoor riding as it's nowhere near as bad on outdoor rides but I only use a chest HR strap now for Zwift.
