- January 2022 has a cardio challenge. Complete 4 hours of your favorite cardio activity to earn the badge. Why does running on my treadmill not appear to count? Seems to me that running or treadmill would qualify as cardio activity!
The badge says to choose your favorite type of cardio. How do I choose a favorite type of cardio?
You just do your favorite type of cardio and log it as "Cardio". What do you like to do?
It must be logged as the type "Cardio".
Hi, thank you for the reply. When scrolling through options on my Fenix5, I don’t see “cardio” as a preloaded option. Do you know if I create “cardio” as a new tab if it will correct my issue? Thank you!
If your watch doesn't have Cardio as a type you will have to edit the activity afterwards in Garmin Connect and switch to Cardio to make it count for the challenge.

Cycling and I use the Garmin Edge 1030.
If you want to log a ride as Cardio then edit the activity in Garmin Connect and change type to Cardio. The ride will no longer be counted towards the cycling challenges.
Thanks again! I was able to check through the apps or widgets or whatever they’re called and found the cardio, added it to my Fenix, and everything is perfect!
