Fenix 3, significant drop in battery life right after firmware v9.20 was installed

Right after I updated to firmware v9.40 (now running v9.60, updated a few days ago) the battery life dropped from above 1w to roughly 2 days in idle mode. Settings and usage remain the same.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Is it possible to downgrade the firmware?

if you download the latest beta firmware, you'll get the latest previous official firmware eg 9.00. Your watch will be reset though so be sure to backup your files and sync your activities.

you'll be able to downgrade to 9.31 and 9.00

did you try to softreset your watch first ? long press on button until it shuts down then switch back on ?

Yes,I did both that and a hard reset but nothing changed.

I was wondering how you found that page you linked. I wanted to see if there are more recent versions than 9.00 I can try.

Google :) "garmin fenix 3 beta firmware" as keywords but i was used to get them when the forum alerted there. was a firmware update. I might have even older than 9 firmwares. I'm not sure you'll find the 9.20 firmware on garmin unless you are looking for a beta firmware. when firmwares are final versions, they are deployed via garmin connect
