I have not seen what your picture shows even once across all Fenix series. The issue is certainly not normal and it appears the display has developed an issue. Please do not hesitate and reach out to Outdoor Product Support in your region.
What you are saying is inaccurate. Same problem exists on my 5s
Please keep in mind, I have not personally seen a display fail in that exact manner in 9+ years. I am sorry your display is showing the same failing sign. It is clearly incredibly rare or I would be aware of the picture example.

Have been researching this for the past hour and I thought it was me......and then I found your thread here. I have the exact same tint on my fenix 3x. Hmm, if you have it on your 5x, it tells me that it has to do with the display technology.
Great timing seen that I'm looking into replacing it with the 7x Sapphire. Maybe I should get the Epix instead

Worth a mention, I can count on one hand how many Fenix series watches I have seen with any display issue with burn in. The type of display used have been the same technology since it makes they easily read in direct sunlight.
The Epix 2 is our first watch using an AMOLED display. You might really enjoy owning one.
