Tempe sensor invalid data

Hello,

Watch: Fenix 5 Sapphire Wi-Fi, latest sw edition

Sensor: new Tempé sensor

Pairing and connecting successful, but the sensor sends invalid data.
At room temperature it is like in the -230ish range.
I put it outside, currently it is around 5-6 Celsius, display is around 200ish range

The real indoor temperature is the difference between -256 and the sent data (currently -236, indoor temp now is 24 Celsius)
The watch is set to Celsius.

Tried restarting the watch, putting brand new battery in the sensor.
Any ideas?

I think there was a way to "reset" a garmin sensor by putting the cell battery the wrong way for a few seconds so that the sensor circuit was closed but not powered.

hello, tried this method. the result is the same. furthermore, the displayed value do have a significant variance even after 30 minutes on the same temperature. will reclaim this sensor tomorrow.

If the reset thing did not help, I guess your best choice is to have it replaced. Good luck
