If you need to remove your watch from your Connect Mobile APP and from your Android phone's Settings > Bluetooth menu then fully Bluetooth pair again through the Connect Mobile APP, and it happens repeatedly as you have described, it is most likely an issue with your Fenix 5X vs. Android phone Bluetooth and your watch should be exchanged with your regional Outdoor Product Support.
