5x bad gps data against fr235 and fr935

Does anyone know why my fenix 5x tracks poorly against a fr 935 and a fr 235? Using GPS + GLONASS and data record every second. I did 3 times this same route with my 5x and everytime I got bad gps data, the distance and the altitude was somehow ok but the tracking is horrible. How can I fix this?

  • Morning, I always had that complaint. When cross data against. Fênix 3Hr, FR630 or 910, Fênix 5x let's me down.

Other thing is altimeter when compared with Fênix 3, which always gave me consistent data, keeping same altitude when stationary. With F5x, need to adjust attitude every morning, sometimes drifts more than 30 meters over night. Storm alert is useless.

I reckon this product will became obsolete and they will never fix things properly.

Never had a such expensive product with so many issues.

But Garmin never give a *** about it as far as people keep buying them. I still love my Fênix watches, had a good dozen of them from the last 12 years, but they could be much better.

    A good weekend for all.

  • Hmmmmm this is odd... I don't have such issues with my f5x (am on beta firmware)   general if I campare gps data to a Suunto Ambit 3 peak or Garmin oregon 650 and 750  the data is pretty consistant.... As to the Altitude issue mention by RUI_LOPES I centainly have notice the gps altitude is often incorrect(as much as 50m) when compared to a map or the other devices mentioned yet the baro altitude is pretty spot on... So I don't quite get why that is... So something is a miss here...
