Hello,
I got my hands on a Garmin Fenix 5x unit in decent shape.
When I took it, it was 98% charged. One week later the moment for charging came (it was about 16 %).
The watch charged up to 27% and the nightmare started - no way to charge above it.
I cleaned several times the pins and also used the charging cable from my other Fenix 5X plus.
No changes. I intentionally depleted the battery until the unit turned off. And - it charged to 5%, then stopped...
What I noticed however was that the watch was noticeable warm.
So I came to a solution. Mounted a vent behind the unit while charging and - voila, as I write the charge is already 69%
Indeed a workaround which allows the Fenix to be used. However: does anyone has any idea what causes the overheating in the first place?
I tried different powersources - each one caused the unit to overheat...
