The housing for my strap seems to have snapped off. Is there any way I can send this off to get repaired?

I think you will need to contact Garmin Support. There is little (if any) that Garmin does for repair work so most likely you will be offered a refurbished watch a some cost that will depend on warranty status and the phase of the moon.
