fenix 5 powers off randomly during exercise

My watch powers off randomly during exercise - i.e. only when searching for satellites or when connected. It will not power on again for some time afterwards, making it useless for exercise. It has sufficient battery so that is not the issue. I've updated to the latest software.

I called Garmin and they only tried to sell me a refurbished product after my existing new product lasted just 2 years. Any ideas people have to correct this issue?

hi, recently i also experience the similar problem like yours

the watch was very reliable over past couple of years, not sure what went wrong recently.

Same issue here, just received the refurbished one. I hope I didn’t pay for a fault caused by the last firmware!

Looks like in your case, watch switched OFF during enlarge battery consumption(GPS, BT, start activity). Why you so sure that with battery all ok?
