Fenix 5x trail from end of run to home !

At the end of a run or walk, I’ll stop and save the activity - however when I sync the activity to Garmin connect, it shows a straight line from the end of my activity to my home !! Is this a setting I need to adjust ?

ive just changed from the Garmin 5 plus and never had this issue with any of my past Garmins.

As you describe it as a recurring issue this is not likely helpful but it looks more like the line is starting at your home (as that is where the start symbol is). This would seem more like you started your run before a full GPS lock so the first point was at the last location then the second at or close to your actual spot.
assuming however this is a recurring problem then it really is more weird and I would suggest you start with a forced reset (hold down the light button for 20 or so seconds until the watch shuts down - then restart). Next steps would be a system reset through the menu or a full reset.

If you can, attach your Garmin to a computer and open the \GARMIN\ACTIVITY folder. Look for the .fit file associated with this activity. Zip then attach it to your post. We can take a more detailed look at this and see what might be happening.

Zip the file, then in a reply post Insert >> Image/video/file >> click Upload >> browse for file >> OK.
Or upload the fit file to a file sharing service, such as OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc., make the file public, then paste a link to the file in your post.
