Alarms during workout sound early, can’t be cancelled

My Fenix 5 has recently started displaying an issue whereby if an alarm is set to fire and I am mid-workout (i.e. on a run or ride, etc.) then the alarm will begin firing two minutes early. Due to the fact the alarm is going off early it is impossible to cancel as microseconds after canceling it fires again.

It is only once the true time of the alarm is reached that it can be cancelled.

I have tried deleting the alarms, and restarting my Fenix without any change to the way this bug exhibits.

Purely speculation but there is a similarity to this and my issue with the time being messed up whenever in an activity with a GPS lock When in activity, GPS Timestamps are Wrong/Shifted - fēnix 5 series - Wearables - Garmin Forums

My time shift was about 20 seconds so not as much as your shift appears to be. Easy test to add a time data field to an activity and watch to see if it jumps when the initial GPS lock is made (I also saw it happening when I use the set time with GPS function). I was able to fix it by using the Restore Defaults under Settings-> System.
