Fenix 5 Golf

My Fenix 5 is absolutely useless at registering golf shots. The golf feature was a factor in buying this watch. It’s an absolute joke and why can’t I manually enter that I took a shot?

Garmin has really dropped the ball on this one. Also why do I have to go into the main settings and change to miles when I’m golfing so that the measurements in the golf app are in yards and not meters. Nobody on earth measures a golf shot in meters!

Hey Garmin we don’t want an auto shot that doesn’t work! Just admit that it’s garbage and fix it or give us the ability to do it manually!!

Thanks I’ll look at the suggestions. But why why why can’t there be a way to manually register a shot?

You can still manually edit shots as needed on your synced Golf scorecard on both the Golf APP and Garmin Connect web.

I am meaning the ability to record a shot when the auto detect misses it so that I can tell it I took a shot and then I could see my distance etc.

If your AutoShot does not register when you hit your ball, the only means of editing your shot will only be on the scorecard. If you notice any other accelerometer issues, such as your steps not registering with the natural swing of your watch wearing arm, that indicates a potential hardware issue with the sensor, please do not hesitate to reach out to Outdoor Product Support.
