Past Elevation Readings

I recently climbed a portion of Grand Teton and wanted to see how high I was when the plug was pulled due to weather. Does the Fennix 5 track your altitude even though you don't have it set to track a hike? If so, how do I retrieve that data? Thank you Garmin Community!

The altimeter is always displaying on your watch but it is not recording to memory unless you save an activity being recorded. IE: Hike, Run etc. and then syncing the saved activity to your Garmin Connect…

The altimeter is always displaying on your watch but it is not recording to memory unless you save an activity being recorded. IE: Hike, Run etc. and then syncing the saved activity to your Garmin Connect account to see the GPS and sensor driven metrics that are recorded.

I have the f5x and was going to ask a similar question... Is there an app may be that could d this with out requiring an activity to be used???
