Unable to sync activities to Garmin connect

Good evening. I hope you can help please?

I currently have a fEnix 5 and for some reason I am unable to sync my activities to Garmin connect app. The app can see my device and when I try to sync I get the white cycle and the green progression bar on the picture of my device then it all of a sudden ends and I have an escalation mark saying “file transfer error timeout”

I have done a reset on my phone, uninstalled and installed the app again and repaired my fEnix to the phone but alas still no joy.

can anyone help please?

Hi Matt. The information that your watch is trying to sync to Garmin Connect might be corrupt. IE: if it was an activity you just saved. It could also be that an update is stuck in your Garmin Connect…

Hi Matt. The information that your watch is trying to sync to Garmin Connect might be corrupt. IE: if it was an activity you just saved. It could also be that an update is stuck in your Garmin Connect queue and it won't download to your watch, so you are ending up in the same situation either way. If you use Garmin Express to sync on your computer, it will sometimes tell you if it sees a corrupt file that won't sync. It will give you the name and you can delete it.

In order, please try the following:

- Sync with Garmin Express on your computer if that is an option to see if the sync is successful or if you learn more

How to Install Garmin Express?

- If it was a saved activity not syncing, manually upload that activity but then you will need to delete it off your watch if it was the cause.

- Double check your sync queue and clear it.
