How do i need to downgrade a system version on garmin fenix 5? 22.40 draining battery ALOT

I'm fairly certain you're not using a Windows Phone, which has been severely deprecated and unsupported by Microsoft for several years. So I'm moving this thread to the fenix 5 forum.

I have also updated my fenix 5 to 22.40 and I am experiencing a lot of battery drain! This is very bad .

I guess I solved the problem of battery drain:

- first I restored to factory settings

- so I downgraded to 21.00 (this did another factory reset)

- and then updated again to 22.40 (from Gramin Express)

Now the consumption is normal again.

Looks like the APAC firmware version just downgraded from 22.40 back to 21.00 (when synced with Garmin Express).

This merry-go round has been a monty of a stuff up.

Any explanation Garmin?

Scrub that - Garmin Express say 21.00, watch still says 22.40 !

I have been seeing that yesterday as I was recharging my watch on the computer. Garmin Express was showing 21.00 but when I forced a synch, it changed to 22.40. Whenever it was initially attached, it would say 21.00. Very strange.

I have same problem with battery drain after update, can you explain step by step how do you do downgrade do 21.00 version?

At the very top of the Fenix 5 forum, select the Beta software thread. When you go to the Beta software page, you will then go to the very bottom of the Beta software download page to find instructions on updating to Beta and backdating to the last official version of software released.

Please note: only the last official software version will be included in the Beta software download folder.

Can you post your downgrade file to use it? thanks
