My Fenix 5s indicates a constant temperature of 286 degrees

For the last few weeks my Fenix 5s has stopped showing me the current temperature and it is stuck at 286 degrees (celsius). Is there a chance that this is a software related problem? I guess that the sensor has just stopped working... I have restarted the watch but nothing has changed. I have software version 21.0

Google getting into diagnostic mode and see what this reports. Try the various resets (soft, full). After this you will need to contact Garmin (and they will ask you to do a full reset anyway).. If the…

Google getting into diagnostic mode and see what this reports. Try the various resets (soft, full). After this you will need to contact Garmin (and they will ask you to do a full reset anyway).. If the sensor is shot, remember that the temperature sensor's main reason to be there is for the barometric altimeter so you altimeter will likely also not be working properly.

Thanks. I tried the soft reset and that did not work. I will now try the hard one, but I am not very hopeful.

Fingers crossed but I wouldn’t be hopeful either. Don’t forget to check the diagnostics as well.
