Q: How can I track, (preferably as steps are tracked to meet a minimum daily goal,) the amount/number of calories I burn in activity each day?
Background: I enjoy and appreciate that my Garmin Fenix 5s makes sure I reach a goal of 10K steps daily (per my setting,) and lets me know how many consecutive days (i.e., my "streak,") I have been doing so to motivate me.
Some days I would prefer to use a rowing machine or other fitness device. Since those other devices will not record as steps, I want to "substitute," steps with calories, i.e., instead of 10K steps per day, I want to know I hit a mark of 500 active calories per day and how many consecutive days I've done so.
Can you please help me figure out how to do this?
