As a user who had been attracted to your devices, and supporting technologies, I am only left being disappointed.
Sorry to say … despite my numerous emails / participation on your technology forums / phone calls, I have only been given the ‘run around’ and passed from jurisdiction to jurisdiction and customer service to customer service representative.
I cannot believe that a company that prides itself on ‘delivering innovative GPS technologies, with products that are engineered on the inside for life on the outside’ and claims to help users ‘make the most of the time they spend pursuing their passions’, couldn’t be more short sighted or arrogant to consider a simple user friendly update.
Here’s the issue : my Fenix 5 and Edge 830, despite coming from GARMIN, cannot compliment one another under the same user profile. Despite being software rich devices, you claim that your proprietary software cannot be updated to facilitate this simple task. Yet STRAVA and other 3rd Party apps can accommodate this! This issue has been mentioned in your online forums, for multiple users, for the past three years.
WHY CAN THIS NOT BE ADRESSED VIA A SOFTWARE UPDATE?
Your only remedy is to for me to dispose my current favorite and upgrade to a newer Fenix. Warning: Apple got into trouble with a similar approach with iPhone.
As said before, I am just disappointed!
