Hello. We do not recommend that you delete the mapping off your watch but it is your watch and you have the ability to do so. There are actually multiple maps on your watch. You will find your maps in the Garmin folder of your watch. If using a Mac, make sure to empty your trash after deleting your map files. If you choose to proceed, it would be a good idea to make a copy of those maps to your computer first, then delete them. Those same maps you have copied, will only work on your exact Fenix 5X but at least if you delete something you shouldn't, you have backed up that map file first.
